I've got to set some time aside to work on the invitations, but I think we may have narrowed down a date for our housewarming.

Yes, but ours is in December and that is because of the reduced manpower during the holiday season.
Having worked for a group that worked directly with a bussiness group I know how hectic fiscal year end is. Having rememberance day off is almost a reward for making it through year end.

Aw poop. You'd think after 8.5 years, I'd know when the freezes are. That's one good thing about working in user support with set hours, though... year-end is hectic, but anything that crops up after-hours just gets dealt with on the next business day.
So... back to *fingers crossed neither has to work that weekend*
