Hello Berries! Hello Autumn!

Every year the first sign that autumn is here comes in the form of the lovely berries on our neighbour's tree. Here they are, some hanging over our fence.

Job anxiety no more!

Going on three months now since wading into pensions, swaps, derivatives and SBC territory and I'm happy to report that things are wonderful.

Absolutely wonderful. Thank god!

It's morphed into the kind of job where the day just blows by, I've even had to set an Outlook calendar reminder so that I don't miss my train. It's busy, very busy, but good busy. All my worrying was for naught. Anxiety no more and it feels great!

This of course leaves me with plenty of time to work up the courage to take a peek into Kevin's shower project. His first attempt at laying tiles... I think he said something about "floor tiles" being done. Heh. It'll be fine.

Strawberry Fields Forever

Ok, so maybe "fields" is a bit of a stretch, but I'm super excited to introduce "Shortcake" to the world. She's my wittle strawberry plant who is about to produce her very first berries. She's tiny, but absolutely adorable.

Can't. Stop. Laughing.

If you've been following the US elections process at all, enjoy! There's even a lapel pin reference in there.

I had tears in my eyes. Good job, Tina & Amy!

Flowers & Fruit

Last Friday, as you stepped off the elevator and on to our floor, the smell of fresh fragrant lilies filled the air. Co-workers were amused, some were intrigued and others just couldn't resist stopping by my cubicle to say hello, as they followed their nose all the way to the absolutely gorgeous flowers that I received from my loving husband for our anniversary. It's been an amazing four years for us, he still looks at me with pure love and adoration in his eyes and I still look at him and wonder if he's remembered to put the toilet seat down. ;)

In more ways than one, it's as if we're still newlyweds and I love him, and my life with him, dearly.

Happy Flowers and Fruit anniversary. :)

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

My dad celebrated his 51st birthday on Sunday. He spent the day the way he wanted to, relaxing at home and hanging out in the backyard with his three kids, that's all he wanted to do. And I know if anyone had asked him why he chose to spend it like that he would have said he couldn't have had a more perfect day any other way.
